The company was started with one goal in mind, outstanding customer service. We came from a large, upscale, Florida-based company where we designed/installed home audio/video systems. These systems ranged anywhere from $500.00 to as much as $200,000+. As the company grew, the personal service our customers had become accustom to became harder and harder to provide. This is when we decided to take our 20+ years experience and venture out on our own.
We can design and install the perfect home or commercial entertainment system for you. With our knowledge and expertise in an ever changing industry, we will make sure you have the most up-to-date equipment and make sure it is hooked up properly. When we’re finished, you will be able to sit back and enjoy your system the way it was meant to be.
And of course, we can’t forget our favorite part of the system. One of the things we noticed over the past 20 years was customers loved their customized remote control as much if not more than the system itself. This is where the name “CONTROL FREEKS” came from. There is nothing more frustrating than pushing the wrong button on one of the five remotes cluttering up your coffee table, only to spend the next hour trying to figure out what you did wrong! We have remotes that fit everyone’s needs. From the simple, TV plus a cable/satellite box system, to the full blown, dedicated theater system. We have a control system for you.

TV Installation
Sometimes you have to get creative when mounting a TV on brick. Since there is no way to run wires inside the wall, we used some simple paintable wire molding to go across the mantle and down the side if the fireplace to the cable feed and electrical outlet. The cable box is hidden behind the TV.
This was the third time we've used Chris and his crew to install televisions in our home. - We had them install a tv wall bracket for our 50 inch tv. They were very friendly. They mounted the tv, connected the cable, programmed the remote, and checked that the settings were correct. - This is our 3rd or 4th time working with Control Freeks, and we'll never use anyone else! Chris has done wonders in our commercial space; ran wires, hung ceiling mounted TVs, and hooked up speakers and a receiver amongst other things. - I wanted to have the cabling in my house re-run. Wanted to remove the splitters that had been used in the past, which were resulting in signal loss. From the initial visit through the install, Chris and Mike did an excellent job. They were very professional, Knowledgeable, insightful and friendly. - I have had the privilege of working with these guys for the 2nd time around. They are very professional, provide excellent and high quality work in a very timely manner. They installed our first two TVs. This time, they helped move some of our TVs from room to room, helped me with the purchase of a new QLED TV and installed and programmed all our equipment to make sure everything was integrated. - I've had Chris and his team over to hang 2 TV's, prewire an entertainment system, prewire cable and install the entertainment system for our basement. They did a tremendous job with each task. - Chris and the Control Freeks team did a wonderful job with the mounting of our TV over our fireplace. Chris did a great job of walking me through options and alternatives for how to install it (which can be complicated over a fireplace) and advised us of the pros and cons of each option. We were scheduled two weeks out and the team arrived promptly upon our scheduled appointment time. They rerouted our FIOS and hung the TV (with wires hidden behind the wall) in just a couple hours. - I had an upgrade I wanted for an existing home entertainment system, replacing some outdated/broken equipment, but maintaining existing, sufficient and well-functioning equipment. Chris at Control Freeks did not oversell me, provided exactly what I wanted and provided the necessary flexibility as I learned more about new technology to add some nice new functionality. - I recently encountered a problem with my home theater system that required professional attention. After a couple of power outages in my area, I had lost all audio, which was routed through my Integra receiver. This continued when I attempted to use my Blu-Ray player, radio, and i-Pod, as well as my 65" Panasonic plasma screen. After trying to schedule a service visit from 3 other home theater companies (to no avail), I stumbled upon a link to the Control Freeks. I wasn't very optimistic at the time, as I had great difficulty even getting a call returned from the other companies that I had called. But these concerns were quickly alleviated when I called Chris Smith. First of all, Chris personally answered my phone call! Imagine my surprise when I encountered a real person instead of a voice-mail! After discussing my issues, we scheduled a service visit within 2 days. On the day of our appointment, Chris arrived early......along with his team, Jason and Mike. They were friendly and professional, and diagnosed my various options within a short period of time. I decided to have a new Yamaha receiver installed, and also took this opportunity to upgrade to a better Universal Remote Control. It only took a couple of days to order and receive the components that I required. On the day that they returned to my home to complete the job, Chris and Jason again arrived early. They had everything up and running within 30 minutes. Over the next couple of days, I discovered a couple of additional functions that I wanted to have programmed into my new remote control. Chris, Jason, and Mike returned within 2 days to "tweak" my remote......and oh yes, they even arrived a bit early again! The final programming of my remote was completed in about 10 minutes. In short......these guys are good, know what they are doing, and they deliver what they promise. In the future, I will never call anyone else except Control Freeks for all of my home entertainment needs......and I would strongly suggest that everyone else do the same.
